Purna

Purna and his wife, Sukmaya, and seven other family members live in east Nepal. His family is quite poor with very little land to use for income. The only work he was able to do was seasonal, with the off-season not providing any income for his family.

When he heard about the small business loans through ServLife, he applied immediately. Purna then went through training to learn how to use the loan wisely and how to pay it back quickly. After receiving the loan he was able to purchase four goats: two male and two female. By breeding these goats, he should be able to pay off the loan and make an income in the first year. Purna shares, “I want to pay for my grandchildren’s education, and provide for my family’s basic needs.”

He continues, ”This opportunity has changed my life, and I couldn’t wait to share it with the others in my village, and share the program with them. Please pray for the goat farming to be successful, and that others in the village will learn about this work, and learn about God through it.”
