Sponsorship and Generosity Coordinator

Employment Type Full Time (40-50 hrs/wk)

Reports to Executive Director of ServLife International, Inc.

Based at Indianapolis, IN

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and experienced Sponsorship and Generosity Coordinator partners with the Executive Director and staff to oversee the sponsorship programs and Tier 3-4 donor giving.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Development: 50%

  • Lead and manage the organization’s sponsorship program along with Tier 3-4 donor development.
  • Modify and implement annual sponsorship and Tier 3-4 Donor plan and strategy.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential church, corporate and foundation sponsors along with individual donors.
  • Assist with and/or manage sponsorship giving campaigns and cultivate gifts.
  • Plan and organize sponsorship events.

Lag Goals:

  • Acquire 100 new child sponsorships each year (at $35/mo).
  • Acquire 5 new Tier 3 donors ($1,000-5,000/year).
  • Acquire 20 new Tier 4 donors ($10-1,000/year).

Sponsorship Oversight: 30%

  • Oversee and manage the sponsorship program.
  • Work with the Executive Director and staff to manage all subcontractors, interns and volunteers related to the sponsorship program.
  • Project manage all child sponsorship program tasks including on-ramping new child sponsor donors, sending the child packet, updating the database and online sponsorship module, etc.

Staff and Administration: 20%

  • Contribute to all shared staff projects.
  • Engage in staff meetings and planning meetings.
  • Assist in administrative management as needed.

Compensation $35-38,000 plus benefits based on experience

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent prior experience.
  • At least 2 years experience in development.
  • Proven leadership, fundraising and management experience.
  • Experience creating and implementing a child sponsorship program.
  • Unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity in all financial matters and personal relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • High energy, self-motivated, positive attitude, flexible, team player, attention to detail and high level of initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and track progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage tasks and a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate and manage new donors.
  • Strong partnership-building and event planning skills.
  • Possess strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to take initiative to complete assignments and job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel.
  • Experience in eTapestry and HelpYouSponsor is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and complete tasks.

Nepal Field Agent

Employment Type Full Time (40-50 hrs/wk)

Reports to Executive Director of ServLife International, Inc.

Based at Kathmandu, Nepal

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and experienced Program Assistant to support our partners in Nepal, help coordinate and report on disaster relief efforts, and host teams from the USA.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

SUPPORT PARTNERS

  • Meet with our partner directors at least twice monthly
  • Assist with partner reports to ServLife International
  • Assist with field work, documentation, photography and reporting

DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS

  • Coordinate with partners to plan, execute and report on relief efforts
  • Network and coordinate with other NGOs (World Food Program, Patan Church, etc) on relief efforts

HOST TEAMS

  • Host visiting teams including assisting with transportation, lodging and details
  • Help coordinate team projects (VBS, Pastors’ Conference, disaster relief, etc)

Compensation The employee must fundraise their expenses through their church and individual supporters. Since ServLife is a non-profit charitable organization, U.S. tax payers can receive a tax-deductible receipt from ServLife when they donate funds to support a ServLife intern. The estimated cost of flights and living expenses is $3,000 plus $1,500-2,000 per month.

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and experienced Video Intern to shoot, edit and produce field videos of pastors, churches, children and children’s homes, and families in micro-finance, delivering videos that are properly formatted for final web deployment.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Travel in Kathmandu, West Nepal and North India to produce videos profiling pastors, churches, children, children’s homes, schools and micro-finance families.
  • Edit raw video footage into short promotional videos.
  • Produce and manage video shoots.
  • Audio production and editing of on-camera interviews, voiceovers and music.

Compensation Interns must fundraise their expenses through their church and individual supporters. Since ServLife is a non-profit charitable organization, U.S. tax payers can receive a tax-deductible receipt from ServLife when they donate funds to support a ServLife intern. The estimated cost of flights and living expenses is $3,000 plus $1,200 per month. The intern will live on a supplied flat/room in Kathmandu. This position offers a great opportunity to mature as a cameraman, video editor, strengthen your portfolio, and gain significant experience. All interns receive a letter of recommendation. ServLife is also happy to complete any documents necessary for the intern to receive college credit.

Administrative Intern

Employment Type 9 month part-time (10-20 hrs/wk) internship

Reports to Intern Manager

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic administrative intern. This position will handle sponsorship and donor activity and general office tasks.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Occasionally process check donations and run reports in eTapestry.
  • Pick up PO Box mail
  • Answer phones, assist callers and take messages.
  • Manage donor mailings
  • Pull information and make necessary contacts for delinquent sponsors and expiring credit cards on file for monthly donations
  • General office work and help out with ServLife events when needed

Social Media Intern

Reports to Intern Manager

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Social Media Intern. This position will assist in planning, scheduling, and responding on social media platforms. They will keep close communication with the Intern Manager to strategize and plan social media activity and campaigns, and research current trends to help maximize reach and engagement.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Research and test current social media (SM) trends and strategies
  • Write and schedule SM posts, including editing and sharing photos
  • Respond, follow back, and repost outside content on SM three times daily
  • Collaborate with Intern Manager on SM marketing plans and strategies
  • Promote campaigns on social media, email, mobile giving, and web
  • Some upkeep and data entry tasks for communications databases

Overview ServLife is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Development Intern. This position will assist the Assistant Director with the execution of development and fundraising projects. They will keep close communication with the Assistant Director to strategize and plan fundraising campaigns, research possible funding sources, and assist in scheduling meetings with current and potential donors.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Become familiar with the fundraising schedule of ServLife International
  • Contact donors and potential donors to schedule meetings for Executive and Assistant Directors
  • Research grant opportunities and suggest potential grants to Assistant Director
  • Assist with the creation and management of scheduled fundraising campaigns
