Emergency Flood Relief: Standing with Families in Nepal

On August 26, catastrophic flash floods triggered by a glacial collapse swept through Bagmati Province in Nepal. The disaster destroyed dozens of bridges, damaged over 25 miles of roads, and cut off entire villages northwest of Kathmandu. The devastation continues to climb, and reports now confirm that over 1,200 lives have been lost, with thousands more still missing across the region.

How Your Support Helps

Because standard government emergency services cannot reach these cut-off areas, our local partners are stepping in to provide direct relief. Your financial support empowers us to respond effectively through three distinct phases:

Phase 1: Immediate Relief
Targeting our sponsored children and their families, we are providing critical emergency supplies to sustain them right now, including food, clean water, safe shelter, hygiene packets, and clothing.

Phase 2: Short-Term Relief
We are expanding our reach to other families in the community affected by the flooding, providing monthly food rations and temporary housing to help stabilize their immediate living situations.

Phase 3: Long-Term Relief
To help families truly rebuild their lives, we will provide small business loans to restore local livelihoods. We will also assist with the construction needed to rebuild our partner church buildings, and continue offering ongoing temporary housing for families as they recover and rebuild.
