Anokh is a single man raised in a Christian family. He was born in the state of Chhattisgarh, which is located in the east-central region of India. He arrived at the ServLife’s Leadership Training Institute in India, in June of 2003 and graduated on May 29, 2004. Since his graduation, he has returned to his home village and is applying the training he received in his region.
“I want to create both a spiritual and social uplifting in my region,” says Anokh. “Christians in my region have wrong motives, and I want to help re-educate them and others with pure Christian intentions.” He lives in a village called Jagdalpai in a region threatened by the Maoists, a recognized terrorist group who do not like Christians and will do whatever they can to hurt them. His region is 90% tribal and alcoholism is prevalent among the people.
- Pray for the relief of terrorism in his region.
- Pray for his family; some of his family members have been killed by the Maoists due to the constant threats and looting.
- The rural-area mindset is easily influenced; pray for their understanding of Christ.
- Pray for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit as he spreads the Word of God and that the Holy Spirit will give him ultimate strength.
