Fathered By God

In Nepali culture, fathers are typically strict and controlling, filling the role of disciplinarian. For many men, the idea of God being our loving and forgiving father who wants to guide and not punish can be a difficult concept to understand. And yet, once we’ve become followers of Christ, we begin to be fathered by God. “As the Father loved me, I too have loved you. Remain in my love.” John 15:9

Director Bekharaj shares, this year “in the conference, the theme was Fathered by God. The pastors are very encouraged by the message, spoken by different speakers. Because last year was a really tough situation for almost all the pastors. They went (through) a very rough life.” This time of fellowship and teaching gave them hope, and made them, “feel like, we are not alone in this race.”

Finally, after many changes in plans because of the pandemic, in March of 2021, pastors from all over Nepal joined together for the first time since 2019 to be trained, encouraged, and discipled. Over the course of three days near Kathmandu, Nepal, these pastors got to experience the love of God. As Bekharaj shares, “It’s really helped them to restart, refresh, recharge, and it’s really exciting for people because they get a hope, they get a future.”
